Lovely ladies Danielle at Underland To Wonderland and Michelle at Life Outside London have done versions of this tag. It seems some fairytale characters are very much well-known (or maybe that should be well-remembered now we’re grown-ups?!) but there are some on the original list that I’d never heard of!
I traced the tag back as far as January where it been translated from Dutch but I have no idea where it originated.
So, ladies and gentleman, here’s another revised version of The Fairytale Tag!
**sniggers** Very far from it in the traditional sense but I doubt anyone’s been vain enough to answer yes to this?!
Sleeping Beauty – How many hours do you sleep at night?
Not enough. More now that one of my migraine medications is also a sedative but it still doesn’t feel like proper sleep if you know what I mean?
Cinderella – Do you have a curfew?
As a grown-up living on my own, no. I do have to set myself limits on how long to be out for though, especially if I’m away from Stella. Mostly because if I don’t have my migraine medicine before 9pm, the next day is a write-off.
Rapunzel – Do you love being outside? When I’m well yes. I love long walks with Stella and finding new places for geocaching. When the weather’s lovely I could sit in the garden for hours watching the butterflies come and go 🙂
Red Riding Hood – Do you trust strangers easily?
I think I would if I hadn’t been so let down by people in my past. I probably share too much too soon but I don’t suppose I’ll change now!
The Wolf and The Seven Young Kids – Are you easily fooled?
Have been. Seriously trying to not let it happen again. I wouldn’t say I’m gullible but I normally take people at their word.
Beauty and the Beast – What makes someone beautiful in your eyes?
The Little Mermaid – What would you sacrifice for love?
I’ve already sacrificed my sanity, I think that’s enough! 😉
The Frog King – What do you find disgusting?
Jack and the Beanstalk – What plants do you have?
I have several buddleia to encourage the butterflies and I love them because they have purple flowers! Then there’s poppies and tulips because they’re my favourites in any colour. I have some striking pink cordylines at my back door and some gorgeous Japanese maples at the front door. My roadside garden is still very much a work in progress, thanks Dad!
Puss in Boots – Do you have pets? If not, do you want them?
Yes I do, have you met Stella? 🙂 Bluebeard – What is your weak point?
Call me Greenbeard, I suspect it’s envy! Not of possessions though…more envy of other people’s confidence, good looks (especially good hair), even ambition…I’ve just never had that striving in me, the only thing I’ve grown in confidence with as I’ve got older is my writing but then I can get envious of those people who just couldn’t care less if a sentence makes sense or an apostrophe is in the wrong place!
Pinocchio – What is your biggest wish?
To not be old and alone. I’m absolutely fine right now with just me & Stella and our own routine, but, I’d like to meet a nice companion in the future to share retirement adventures with.
Peter Pan – What is your mental age?
Varies from day to day. Either much younger than I am or much older. When I’ve got the Christmas Lego on the go I’m probably about 8, but when I can’t get from the car to a shop without my walking stick I’m more like 88!
The Star Money – What is your most valuable possession?
Not sure I have one…in monetary value terms it’s probably my camera…but…if the house was on fire…I’d obviously save Stella first. Second to her would be irreplaceable things like photos and souvenirs.
Golden Mary & Pitch Mary – Are you a hard worker or a lazy one?
I probably seem lazy at my office job but that’s only because it’s quite boring and there’s always procrastinating to be done! But, everything that needs to be done, gets done and I need the flexibility of having a job in the family business right now as I think I’d need too many sick days to hold down another one. I probably work hardest at blogging though because I just love doing the words and pictures 🙂
The Snow Queen – Who is your best friend and what would you do for her/him?
I don’t have one.
The Princess and the Pea – Are you sensitive?
Too much so at times…reminds me of the ‘one word’ gallery prompt from the Sticky Fingers blog.
Godfather Death – What qualities make a good parent?
Not sure I should answer this as I’m not one, but, from what I’ve seen and heard: Love; patience; discipline; patience; honesty; patience; kindness; patience; intuition; did I mention patience?!
The Worn-Out Dancing Shoes – Do you like parties?
Had very worn out dancing shoes when I was younger, however, I loved the dancing, not so much the people at parties. It’s hard being an introvert that loves disco music!
The Emperor’s New Clothes – Do you care a lot about your clothing?
Not as much as I did once upon a time (see what I did there?!) As long as it’s comfy and weather appropriate I don’t follow any style trends. The only place I care about labels is on my feet and Skechers are my go to brand for footwear 🙂
The Brave Little Tailor – Do you consider yourself brave?
Scared of spiders; scared of dentists; scared of motorbikes; scared of the telephone; scared of water; scared of the dark…not much bravery going on here I’m afraid!
The Seven Ravens: Do you have brothers or sisters? How is your relationship with them?
I have one younger brother. We occasionally bicker but he means the world to me.
I won’t tag anyone as this has been doing the rounds for so long but I’d love for you to leave me a link if you’ve done it or are going to!
