Word Of The Week = The Prompt: Travel

I haven’t travelled far this week but I feel like I’ve travelled a lot!

On Sunday I went to visit my brand new nephew for the first time. He was a very poorly little boy but is now doing really well and will hopefully be home soon. A few trips to the hospital to visit with his mummy and daddy too.

The usual backwards and forwards journeys to work and to town for banking and the like. A trip into town to collect a parcel as UPS apparently only do one attempt at delivery!

Yesterday was jam-packed, but more of that on Woof Wednesday. My afternoon ended with another visit with my gorgeous nephew though so it was worth being knackered!

I’ll leave you with an acrostic poem and wish you a lovely weekend with only stress-free journeys 🙂

To and fro; there and back;
Roaring along, on a railway track.
Always ready for adventure;
Voyage, not ‘return to sender’.
Every day, a new journey;
Love the world and all there is to see!

  1. So glad to hear your nephew is now home 🙂 Sounds like it was a very busy week! I love your poem, I like the line ‘voyage, not ‘return to sender’.’ Thank you so much for sharing with #ThePrompt and apologies for the very late commenting, I actually took some time off last week!

    1. Kim I’m knackered but not nearly as knackered as my brother & his wife! He’s such a sweetheart though, we all love him immensely already 🙂 x

  2. Congratulations on the birth of your little nephew. Hope you’re spoiling him as that’s what aunties are for!, also, babysitting. 😉
    Beautiful little poem. X

    1. Thanks Ali 🙂 I found him a little England football baby vest yesterday after saying I wasn’t buying him anything else this week. Couldn’t resist it though 🙂 x

    1. Barely a minute to appreciate the good weather but it was lovely not driving in fog or rain! 🙂

  3. Ah, congratulations on the birth of your nephew! Glad he’s on the up now, too. That is a lot of travelling about in one week, loving that little poem 🙂 Thanks for joining in again with #WotW x
