Making Sense of Scents with AA Skincare

A few weeks ago I introduced you to the AA Skincare range from Amphora Aromatics with my review of their really refreshing Seaweed & Aloe Eye Gel.

They’ve since asked me to try one of their deodorants and of course I said I would. I was sent the Lemongrass & Lavender from the range but there is also Bergamot & Aloe, and, Grapefruit & Cedarwood to choose from. Lovely combinations, wouldn’t you agree?

First the science bit:

Our natural deodorants are made with naturally effective ingredients such as pure essential oils and natural extracts. They won’t block pores or irritate your skin and they don’t contain aluminium, alcohol or artificial fragrances.

Of course, it’s all good and well it being natural, but, does it work? Yes, it does.

I’ve been using this deodorant for the past 2 weeks and put it through all sorts of potentially sweat-inducing situations to test it out.

I wasn’t expecting the scent to last long on me even if the deodorising effects worked. For some reason perfume doesn’t like to linger on me and I’m often re-applying!

But, last Monday afternoon, during a busy day in the office, aware of stress perspiration, partly due to work numbers not adding up, partly due to Stella’s approaching vet visit, I said out loud: ‘What’s that lovely smell?’

Turns out it was me! The lavender and lemongrass concoction still doing it’s magic very nicely, thank you very much.

Over the last couple of weeks there’s been hot days, stressful days, physical days, and, not once has this addition to the AA Skincare Essentials Collection let me down.

Very pleased indeed.

Which scent would you choose?

    1. I’m not great with lavender either. I’ve have it in the garden though as both my dogs have always loved it but with this you don’t notice a lavender aroma at all so I think it’s just the soothing properties you get 🙂 I also a have a migraine thing that’s lavender and peppermint, it works quite well and I smell minty fresh! 🙂
