Woof Wednesday: The Comeback

This may not be a regular occurrence but I had the pleasure of a canine house-guest the other evening and thought it might be nice to share πŸ™‚

We have American friends that were travelling into Europe for New Year’s Eve and asked if I’d look after their gorgeous Blue Weimeraner, Kaijah. I have walked her before, both on my own and with Stella so it was a bit of a no-brainer! woof wednesday

Miss Kaijah’s mum had already got her used to having her photo taken so she settled in to selfie mode quite easily!

She also didn’t take long to make herself at home around the place considering she’d never been in my house before! woof wednesday

Within 24 hoursΒ she got particularly fond of one of the sofa cushions but I won’t show you the more intimate embraces! woof wednesday

Of course there were a couple of lovely walks too and Kaijah brought her hi-viz wear as the days were grey and the evenings grim. woof wednesday

All too soon my little companion had to head home. Travel plans got cancelled due to bad weather so I only had the lovely boyfriend to kiss at midnight for new year!

I found hanging out with Kaijah similar to hanging out with Stella in several ways. They both love to very closely share human spaces but both took a dislike to people being at the bus stop at the bottom of my drive…Kaijah is different in that she didn’t ever bark at absolutely nothing though πŸ™‚

Definitely both up for a festive photo too! woof wednesday

I really loved having a pooch around the place though nothing can replace my darling Stella. But it was also a reminder of responsibility and plans having to be much more carefully made…future four-legged friend decisions still very much up in the air!

This house-guest is very welcome anytime though πŸ™‚

  1. Kaijah is lovely and I am glad you could share Christmas with her. I know hwat you mean about getting another pet – the boys would still like another dog to replace Poppy and Harry and to keep Saari company but we are reluctant to take one on at the moment. But of the right dog were to cross our path we might not say no! Lovely to see you on #AnimalTales again – Happy New Year!

  2. Hi Lisa, what a lovely name for a lovely looking dog. Love her style too, neckerchief and bright pink jacket. I bet it was nice to have a dog around the house again, I can’t imagine our house empty of dogs. Childfree, yes. Dogfree, no. But like you said it is a responsibility not to be taken lightly and spur of the moment plans don’t really happen in a house with dogs.
