I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

As I mentioned last Woof Wednesday I got some time at the seaside again last weekend and it’s definitely a happy place. If I had to decide between trees and sea as my favourite happy place I’d be very hard-pressed to choose!

The lovely boyfriend introduced me to Blakeney which was a favourite coastal haunt of his childhood. Much less commercial than the more well-known Norfolk resorts of Hunstanton and Great Yarmouth, Blakeney was a delight for an wildlife and walking loving girl. The boy did good!

We also visited nearby Cley for a late afternoon beach stroll. I shared one of my favourite shots from there on Sunday 🙂

The weather of course wasn’t as warm as a trip to the seaside may suggest but we did get a couple of glimpses of sunshine and the rain stayed away, which is all you can hope for really in early February!

I can see me becoming very fond of this part of the world. I expect there’ll be more coastal trips as the year goes by…

Like my native Fenland, the Norfolk coast has super big skies so I’ll be hoping to capture some pretty pink sunsets this year as well.

We gave the ever-present seagulls some attention too before departing in the direction of Sheringham at teatime for fish and chips. Would’ve been rude not to!
